A long time ago I was into 35MM photography, but as my interests shifted electronic music and computers I put that hobby aside. I've watched the development of digital cameras for about three years now, following advancements in image capture and rendering technologies.
I have been keeping an eye out for a camera with the right mix of features (high quality optics w/wide zoom range, 5+ megapixel sensor, solid rendering engine, high capacity storage, built-in flash w/hot shoe adapter, automatic and manual operation) at an attractive price. In the fall of 2004, Panasonic came out with their DMC-FZ20 and it fit the bill perfectly - I bought one in January 2005.
It's great fun getting back into taking photos again. As I build up my image collection I will be posting some of my work here.
