myxprojekt: instance
Yet another long-form ambient composition, this one was created using features that are
new to the latest version of Reason (version 4).
Designed specifically for relaxation, meditation, contemplation and (especially) sleep.

 |
myxprojekt: NightLight
Another long-form ambient composition, this one was created using algorithmic composition
techniques. Stylistically not far from the piece "2/2" from Eno's Music For Airports;
the main differences are that NightLight is a much longer piece, covers a wider range of
pitches and tonalities, and there is no detectable repetition. Another good piece for
contemplation, meditation and sleep.

Placidio
This is a single, long ambient drone piece written and recorded over a period of four years
from 2001 to 2004. If you split the difference between Eno's Thursday Afternoon and Neroli,
you get something like this. Good for meditation, or just for de-stressing at the end
of a day.

- The MYX Archive CDs contain my earliest original electronic music, composed and recorded
from 1977 to 1985. They were recorded using relatively primitive electronic music synthesizer
keyboards and analog recording equipment (primitive by millennium standards, at any rate).
Utilizing modern digital audio restoration tools, every effort has been made to preserve and
enhance the fidelity of these older recordings.
In some cases, all-new versions of these compositions replace certain recordings which were
deemed either too poor from a technical standpoint, or which it was felt could be improved upon
using modern equipment.
