Doctor Knows Best
words of wisdom...

On Friday I had a physical exam. It had been a while and I was due. My M.D. is not only a very good doctor, he's also a pretty smart guy in general.

In explaining his views regarding the state of medical care in the U.S. he used an interesting analogy I found to be not just very perceptive but applicable to a much broader array of problems:

"The United States does a pretty good job responding to things like 9/11. It's the 9/10 situations that we don't handle very well."
